EEC Lincolne Scott adopts the following objectives for each project:
• Achieve lowest lifecycle costing and high energy efficiency within the Client’s design criteria
• Achieve high environmental performance outcomes without sacrificing commercial viability
• Assist with project cost planning to deliver the project on budget
• Deliver value engineered solutions
• Achieve high reliability of the M&E Services in order to ensure no disruption to critical system operations
• Assist with project scheduling in relation to the M&E services and in particular the authority submissions and approvals
• Deliver a building with leading Fire and Life Safety engineering services
• Assist with building engineering to ensure the optimisation of M&E services costs, M&E plant spatial, utilities reliability
• Specification of local plant and equipment, where possible
• Prepare an environmentally sustainable design in line with the project objectives
• Achieve high degree of acoustic separation of engineering services from front of house spaces. This includes sanitary pipe work, lifts, AC plant noise and vibration
• Assist in meeting the environmental impact regulations
• Aim to make the building as ‘structurally’ simple and repetitive as possible in order to make construction straight forward, rapid and thus cost effective
• Generate an efficient design coordinated with all disciplines, working closely together as a team to produce an integrated design
• Generate an efficient design coordinated with all disciplines, working closely together as a team to produce an integrated design
To execute all projects successfully, our approach is to:
• Understand the project
• Understand the Client’s values and objectives
• Collaborate with the client and design team to establish project and sustainability goals
• Commit an enthusiastic and experienced engineering team
• Maintain continuity of team members through design and construction stages
• Establish clear communication channels amongst all project team consultants
• Gain a thorough knowledge of the site infrastructure services
• Adopt a proactive attitude in the project development process. Analyse and support these goals with desktop analysis or detailed modelling, and establish clear project objectives and benchmarks
• Identify cost effective performance based solutions – through cost / benefit analysis and lifecycle costing - and develop innovative engineering options considering design for maintenance of equipment and systems, and utilise local product and equipment where possible
• Communicate with other members of the design team to successfully coordinate an integrated approach to the design and successful delivery
• Continue with our commitment in the post occupancy phase
